Iomar Mazinho: a World Cup winner who played for Valencia CF and RC Celta de Vigo

Valencia CF will face RC Celta de Vigo again this coming Sunday, April 5 at 16:15, at Mestalla in the match corresponding to matchday 30 of LALIGA EA SPORTS 25-26. One of the special players who wore both jerseys was Iomar Mazinho.

The player from Paraíba arrived at Valencia CF in the summer of 1994 after being crowned world champion with Brazil in the prestigious tournament held in the United States. Mazinho led Valencia CF’s midfield for two seasons (1994-1996), in which he played 107 matches, scored one goal and provided ten assists. In addition, he achieved a Copa runner-up finish (1994-1995) and a LALIGA runner-up finish (1995-1996).

After his time at Valencia CF, he signed for the Vigo side, where he spent four seasons (1996-2000), making 138 appearances and scoring ten goals.
